Triumph Mechanical Solutions produces cockpit controls and quadrants specifically designed to meet unique customer requirements. Our Electro-Mechanical Cockpit modules are frequently married to our push/pull controls to produce combined output devices.  For example, a throttle quadrant with switch/transducer outputs and mechanical cable connections to an engine control system. Whatever your specific needs are, we can customize a solution for you.

Collective Systems

Available for single or multi-engine helicopters, Triumph collectives provide excellent feel, smooth action and can be provided with either mechanical or electrical output (for fly-by-wire applications). Mechanical outputs integrate seamlessly with our ball-bearing controls and output gearboxes for connection to engine-mounted control mechanisms.

  • Full System – Cockpit to Engine
  • Fully integrated product – cable controls, gear box, complex mechanisms
  • Complete system design, testing and assembly expertise

Applications:

  • Collective Engine Control System
  • Tail Rotor Control
  • Throttle Engine Control System
  • Pedal Adjust
  • Co-Pilot and Cargo Panels

Fly By Wire/ Haptic Response Solution

Triumph’s Haptic Response Solution (HRS) is a passive fly by wire system providing tactile feedback to simulate the feel of mechanical flight control systems. This is accomplished by using mechanical springs, gears, and dampers.

The HRS can replace any current mechanical control device while providing the desired tactile feedback.

Triumph is also upgrading this technology to an active fly by wire system utilizing programmable servo motors and electronic friction brakes to provide simulated tactile feedback and haptic feedback to the pilot/copilot.

  • Autonomous Flight Control System (FCS) Haptic Response Solution (HRS)
    • LVDT or RVDT Applications
    • Replaces and Replicates “Feel” of Mechanical Controls
  • Provides tactile feedback
  • Allows for Optionally Piloted or Remotely Piloted Operation
  • RVDT for Position Output

Applications include:

  • Pilot and Co-Pilot Controls
  • Yaw, Pitch and Roll Modules
  • Steering Tillers
  • Park Brake Pedals
  • Quadrants
